Accessible to Everyone

Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to make the site usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification and other assistive technologies.

The WCAG define requirements at three levels: A, AA and AAA. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the site meets the standard, and we are actively working to resolve any areas that fall short.

• Semantic, structured HTML with clear headings and landmark regions.
• A “skip to content” link and full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators.
• Meaningful text alternatives for images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
• Colour contrast that meets AA, with colour never used as the only way to convey meaning.
• Labels on every form field and clear, descriptive error messages.
• Respect for reduced-motion and colour-scheme preferences.
• Layouts that reflow and remain usable when text is enlarged up to 200%.

You can adjust this site to suit your needs:

• Zoom in or out with Ctrl and + / - (Cmd on Mac); the layout adapts.
• Navigate interactive elements with Tab and Shift + Tab, and activate them with Enter or Space.

We aim to support current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) and common screen readers. Formal testing coverage is being expanded; specific tested combinations are [to be confirmed].

We are continually improving. Some third-party or embedded content (for example, maps) may not yet fully meet our standards; we address issues as we identify them and seek accessible alternatives where possible.
